Social Causes

For each participant in our tours, we contribute with a meal. The true motivation behind our endeavor is to create something that makes this world a better place. Every day, we seek to offer unique and authentic experiences to our guests with the aim of making a positive impact.

Our company goes beyond the commercial and financial aspect. Entrepreneurship means having the freedom to express our essence and reason for existing on this planet. It is a journey in search of transcendental meaning. We believe that businesses that leave a lasting mark, overcome crises more successfully, and have a solid reputation are those that strive for something greater than just profit. They are businesses with a cause.

We, as "Livingtourians" and proponents of Conscious Capitalism, embrace this principle and have our own social cause: "Livingtourians with a 1-for-1 Cause."

Through the project "Livingtourians with a 1-for-1 Cause," we donate a meal to people in vulnerable situations, such as the homeless and those in need in the cities of Porto and Lisbon, where we conduct our activities. To fulfill this mission, we have established partnerships with various social solidarity associations such as Legião da Boa Vontade, O Coração da Cidade, Porta Solidária, and Associação Casa - Centro de Apoio ao Sem Abrigo.

Monthly, we allocate the value of one meal for each participant in our tours as a way to contribute to this greater cause.

We recognize that we will not be able to eradicate hunger in Portugal, but we are committed to doing our part and working towards a noble purpose and a fairer world.

As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, "If each of us would only sweep our own doorstep, the whole world would be clean."

Based on this, we are aware that the unity of all is crucial to changing the scenario of hunger in Portugal.

Together, we are stronger.

Therefore, we are the "Livingtourians with a Cause," and this is our social transformation project.

Additionally, we are committed to supporting local economies and empowering local communities. We work closely with small businesses, artisans, and social enterprises to promote fair trade practices and provide economic opportunities for marginalized groups. Through this, we contribute to the growth and sustainability of these communities, promoting cultural preservation and socio-economic development.

Our commitment to social causes extends to various other areas, and we are dedicated to continuing to be agents of positive change through responsible tourism.
